DR Dinner Guest

Ethan has a friend from the Dominican Republic who came over to dinner tonight. Josefina (3rd pic) was a member in his last area in the DR, La Vega. He was there for the last two months of his mission. She is living in Layton now. I didn't catch too much of the visit, as I was playing hostess. For dinner we had chicken, mashed potatoes, curried potatoes and cauliflower, a big veggie tray, Greek salad, and Mediterranean salad, and Abi made her coco quickies cookies. Josephina here

We had a nice visit with her. She was one of the solid members in La Vega when Ethan was there. She was already a member, having been baptized years ago, and she would go with Ethan and his comps to visit new friends, and would share with the people investigating the church how the gospel changed her life. She used to smoke 80 cigarettes a day, and was able to get rid of that addiction because of the invitation of the missionaries and her faith in Christ. A mission comp, Josh, and his wife came by to visit too.

Then Corey, Ethan, Bella, Josefina and the kids all went up to the Quarry Trail to show her where the pioneers quarried the granite for the Salt Lake Temple. K smiling for a selfie on the drive up, such a cute little grin! I love those cheeks.
Bella got these cute pictures of Katharine playing princess in the fall colors. She's a natural at posing!

Twirling and singing, she's so cute.

Melodie came up too, and she and Abi were yacking it up having fun talking and laughing. We cleaned up a bit, we took a picture before Josefina left.

Cute Peter -
He's such a sweet kid. I found him this morning all curled up in a fetal position, sleeping on the floor outside of our bedroom door. He looked almost perfectly symmetrical, almost like I could dangle him from a string and hang him up like a Christmas ornament.
God is the amazing creator of fall mountain colors and beautiful children. It was nice to reflect today on some of the many blessings Christ has given us.
