Our junior high and high school kids didn't have school today, I found out last night. So with plenty of babysitters home, Corey and I took a ride in Park City. Leaves are just starting to change. We parked at Midmountain Trailhead near the Montage, took Midmountain east, able to see Jordanelle!
There were a few trees with their leaves changing. Some yellows, not a lot of red yet, but the weather was cool and pretty. We took Midmountain to the end, then road Deer Crest twice as we tried to figure out how to get back, if there was another way, but all trails said "no uphill hiking or biking" so midmountain it was. When we got back to Deer Valley, we didn't have bike haul tickets, and all the trails said "no uphill" BUT so we were taking midmountain out and then found one service road that led to the top, so we rode that for a minute but were hiking the rest of the time, pushing our bikes, until we got to an on-ramp for Holy Roller and Nail Driver. That was fun! Nice wide trail, all downhill so it was nice and easy and fast. We think it would be a good one to take the kids on. Right now bike haul tickets for a day are $58 for adults, $38 for kids. I put it on the calendar next summer to take Owen there for his birthday. We didn't go on a date tonight - we used up all our date time on our ride this morning (didn't get back until past noon). Daniel went to the planetarium with Wayne for his bday gift. Corey and I are going to go clean the temple at 10pm. He's working right now, I'm catching up on the blog a bit, trying to anyway. Also been trying to potty train K for a few week. The potty has been out for over a month. I've had her sit in the mornings if her diaper is dry, but so far there has not been any success. Just free suckers and screen time for humoring me and sitting.
Sophi had a bday party with a friend. Looks like a good group of kids that she is friends with!
