Sunday Breather

Ah, catching my breath after a busy week on vacation. It's been nice to have a day to rest. Cute K's pink "slippers" at church (I guess she took a pic as she colored with my phone).

Natalie worked a little bit on her Family History Booklet, which was a good Sunday activity. I told them they can get some $ (like 10 bucks) when they finish filling everything out, so I think that was her motivation.
As Natalie did that, I remembered an idea I had back in January (at an old neighbor's viewing/funeral) to try and make a book about my parent's courtship and marriage, so I went over to my parents house and visited with them and took some audio recordings of them answering some questions that I took down that were in that book at the funeral. I still think it would be fun to have a memory book or something ready for the Hibbert Reunion in July, but now I'm working with a two month deadline, not 6.... That's pretty optimistic for me to think I could pull that off, but I started anyway, asking my dad a few questions about how he and my mom met, when they got engaged, what he remembers of the wedding day, etc. This below is a pic of my mom's roommates candles that they lit on the night they got engaged, and they stayed up so late talking that the candle just continued to burn and melt and so the roommate gave it to them and they have it on their fireplace mantle now.
A temple that was on their cake.
They met in Yellowstone. That has always been a favorite place for them to go back to.
A pic of their wedding announcement, put on a wood plaque as a gift from a friend.
Kids colored an Easter Poster that the boys got in Primary as Corey read to them.
The landing at the top of the stairs is one of our gathering areas, which is great at bedtime cause people  get to trip over each other as they go into the bathroom and stuff.
Family bonding time. <3
