Abi hosted a cute Bachelorette party for Melodie today.
Decorations up, food ready, and the maid of honor is here.
Time for the party to begin.
Abi planned an activity and had the art supplies for everyone to create an artistic portrait of Melodie based on the engagement photos. People working on their pieces.
When they finished their artwork, the portraits were put on display on the wall with a cute saying: "Wride to BRIDE!"
Nancy and her girls came, she and I talked about Christmas plans, we'll prob go over at 2 on Christmas Day for Ham and potatoes then games, and we can do a dinner at the church on Christmas Eve? I'm just wanting to keep it simple. Back to tonight: refreshments were served. Abi created a a hot chocolate bar with marshmallows and candycanes, plus donuts and I think I see chocolate covered strawberries there? Oh wait no, those were cake pops. I think Natalie made those. All the sisters helped out.
Opening gifts.
The lovely bachelorette!

Now everyone look at Melodie!
Good job Abi. That was nice of you to do that for your sister.
As for other things today - I went on a walk at 11:40 am to deliver a few more wedding announcements. I also did a 3:30 pm Ride to ruins. The temperature today was 60 degrees! That is crazy. The trail was in PERFECT condition - no mud, ice, nothing. Thought I turned on my Strava at the start but happened to check it after Avalanche hill and it wasn't recording, doh! Turned it on, Corey and I got to top in 1:06 (based on his strava). I got 4 more local legends, woot! Bird is the word for all athletes, Temple Quarry 2nd bridge to top got a bronze pr - 21:15. Local Legend for Little Cottonwood Descent - Lower Half and Pow Plant Down. I also got every feature except the 3rd bridge pipe (there was another biker there) and the 2nd to last feature at the top. Got 2nd bridge rocks, avalanche hill, 3rd bridge rocks, and Lisa rocks!!!
Daniel and Peter went over to the Noble's house today and made candy houses. That was fun.
We have a great neighborhood and great neighbors. The kids all have wonderful friends and we love their families. And even though we love all our neighbors, we did not do neighbor gifts this year. Probably tacky, but that's just how it is at the moment. I don't notice who does not give us gifts, and I'm hoping most of them won't notice the lack of a gift from us. Fingers crossed. We'll make it up next time, next year, or definitely some year.
