Corey's Speaking Tour in Temuco

Corey made sure we had a fun Wednesday in Pucón, knowing that the next two days he'd be gone in Temuco and Valdivia visiting universities there and giving them his little "You can do it, entrepreneurs!" presentation.

Speaking at universities and motivating the Chilean nation to start their own businesses is one of the goals of the Start Up Chile program, as shown in this little video

As people from Start Up Chile are finishing up and heading home, Corey's overheard in the office how they are disappointed that the program participants haven't done their 6 university visits, so Corey took the initiative and set up these events himself then turned them over to Start Up Chile and the Universities to finish up with. They were very pleased with the turnout too, and blogged about it here. Over 800+ people total from his 4 lectures. Pretty good!

In the above slide are some pictures of him on his mission in Chile. He joked to the audience "Maybe some of you are the kids that threw rocks at me..." He's hoping they'll be nice to missionaries now if they meet them.

Joseph went with Corey to Temuco. They took a 3 hour bus ride there, Corey spoke around 10, and then they all went out to lunch. They had done a great job advertising the event and Corey was really surprised at the huge turnout:

Joseph served as the photographer of the event.

Corey joked that he Joe wasn't that great at taking pictures, but he was free.

Corey said Temuco was beautiful, and from the short time he was there he thought he might have liked to have lived there more than in Santiago. He and Joe got home at 5:00 and we had dinner then went out to the beach for a little bit. It was a little cold. Poor Lily, she's the only one of us that has pure Costa Rica clothing - all short sleeved shirts and shorts, and her few pants are looking shorter and shorter as she grows. No jacket either. I've looked a little, but haven't seen anything, so we just keep her in a blanket.

Heading inside after watching the sunset.
