Corey, Wayne, Katharine and I went down to BYU to support Mel at the BYU Commencement ceremony. We could not see where she was, as it was just a sea of blue, white and brown. We were able to find the general area by shining our phone flashlights at each other. She was over there somewhere...
I could tell there was like a yellow/orange skirt on someone. Melodie said that person was on the row behind her and 4 to the right. So Mel was about here. Not very good pics of her. It is better to get pictures of her after...

Congratulations Mel! Mel with her friend Ariel.
I liked Clark Gilberts message on seeing where our faith and integrity are when compared to our engagement with the world. If we are high in faith but not engaged, we are isolators. That's kinda where I am now I think. If you are low on faith and very engaged, you are apologizers. If there is a lot of faith and a lot of engagement, that is when we become lights to the world, which is what the Savior has asked us to be (Matthew 5:14-15). Melodie has been a light in our life. I know that light in her will continue to shine. Taking a fancy pic in the parking lot as we walked to Wayne's car (he drove us all down) and then went out to lunch. We went to Aubergine, yay, we love it
It was crowded, so we were over on the soft chairs again. That's where we ate when I took Mel out to lunch on her birthday, which I have not blogged yet... (I need to finish December)~
Wayne is continuing with the tradition that JeNeal started when Joseph graduated high school and gifted Mel a graduation money cake. I havne't gotten a photo of all of them (here's Wesley's money cake) but they've done it for all the high school and college grads.
Mel is going to give him back the styrofoam and tinsel cap, cause he is looking ahead and plans on making 4 graduation cakes next year! (Ethan from BYU and Abi from high school, plus cousins Alix and Isaac).
Someday it will be your turn, Katharine!
And then we drove home. I gave K my phone to keep her happy...
She chastised me for being drowsy. I did not get a nap today, boo-hoo. After I got home I hurried and packed and then left to pick up my sister in law Steph. She is in town for a Hibbert Sister retreat, which I shall report on later. I'm actually not there right now. I'm back home (on Tues 4/29) and it's all done. I'll travel back in time and do a post of it. I would have blogged up there, but my laptop was not working. But I picked up Steph, then we picked up Patrice's groceries at Smith's pick up, then we drove to Hideout Utah, just north of the Jordanelle reservoir. We stayed in an AirBnB that my sister Jerusha got for all of us. It was a nice place with a really nice view!

We went out to eat at Vessel in Park City, then Steph, Amy and I headed back and Jersh went with Beka to pick up Patrice. She was flying in from Texas but the weather in Texas was nuts and her flight got cancelled, but she found something for a few hours later. She was able to make it in around 9pm. It was our first Hibbert Sister retreat, and we'll see if it becomes an annual thing.
