Getting Packed

On Saturday we broke out the travel bins. We told the kids it was time to pack. So they got packed. Look, the kids are all packed...
Now all we need is to put on the lids and tape them up! Ha, "No no no, silly children, we didn't mean pack yourselves!" So that didn't work very well. The idea was to start packing clothing, but any clothes we put in the bins (while the bins were out in open) quickly got dumped out to make room for play.
So yesterday I moved all the bins into our bedroom and they are a little more safe in there. We're telling the kids to pack: 5 shirts (4 short, one long) 2 shorts, 2 pants, one jacket, Sunday clothes (2 dresses for girls, 2 ties for boys) flip flops, 3 socks, and I'm already just so excited about how much more simple my life as chief laundry coordinator is going to be. I might let them have another shirt. But yes, looking forward so a simplified life for a few months.

The kids had a few "scoot your bin" competitions across the front room - similar to potato sack races. Wes won this race ~
Abi lost this race ~

We'll get to the final details of packing this upcoming final weekend when we're winding up life. But as for now, kids still have school and band, we still need toothbrushes and Sunday clothes and most everything else. Next Monday is the big day. Flying out at 5 pm to Florida. Corey's learned that Florida is the good place to make a connection cause there is a direct flight to Campinas from Miami. But before we fly out we figured we'd hit a theme park or a beach first. So we're going to be in Florida through Friday evening and then will have an overnight flight to Brazil. Ok, time for me to go get stuff done. :)
