Corey and I went furniture shopping again today. We ordered new couches for the front room. It's a set that Corey saw last week with Abi and he wanted me to see them. It's kinda a dark blue leather but also looks kinda like a ocean gray.
It is nice, so we ordered the 3 piece set of couch, loveseat, and chair with an additional loveseat and an extra chair and the ottoman (...cause we have a lot of people in our house and need lots of seating). It will be a month until they are in, so we have time to think about it and cancel or change the order if we want. I came home and measured the room and made a small paper model that was to scale so that we can try out different arrangements. Here's how it currently is...
And one option with the new furniture.
Abi made this arrangement which I think is good (she wants a different carpet).
On our outing, Corey and I also went by Scheels to get another bike fixed. Natalie learned how to ride a bike on Satuday. Corey took the wheels off of Owen's bike and she just took off on it!
She has to move her little feet super fast, but she does great.
She can ride Sophi's bike but since it's bigger and she's further off the ground, she has less confidence in catching herself should she lose her balance and fall. Thus she prefers the tiny bike. Daniel wishes she didn't prefer his bike. You can hear him in he video saying that I have to fix it (aka put back on the training wheels so that he can ride it). Sorry Daniel, goo job Natalie.
Today at Scheels, while we waited for the bike, we bought three wood swords for the toddlers. They like them. We did a body outline of Owen with Keva blocks, holding his sword.
And of course the kids were engaged in epic battles for the better part of the day.
And we had a sit down dinner again tonight! I'm 2 for 2, woo-hoo!
