I'm glad summer is here with the bright mornings and plenty of daylight to enjoy. Last night Corey and I didn't make our plan, so I just was reading the scriptures first thing while I waited, but he slept in and we didn't go on a ride. It's ok cause we did a good one yesterday. This morning, Peter woke up and came and sat next to me, and was drawing in a notebook while I read. He asked me a few questions.
Today Natalie and I were doing some fun movement things and I counted that as my exercise for today. I was inspired by this lady on youtube, NinjaYari, wowzers. I want to join a ninja gym. Natalie and I like to do handstands against the wall, and after watching that lady, I shared it with Natalie and she and I practiced jumping on the trampoline. I was working on a jumping somersault right now, and also did a little calisthenics stuff: a handstand for 18 seconds, and then I tried to walk on my hands a little bit, and that was a fail. I moved about 1/2 inch, then went down. Then did a 66 second hold, 3 chin ups, a dead hang for 70 seconds, and worked for 5 min on grip strength (70 second hang was part of that, just letting go then trying to hold on again over and over for 5 min)
At home, Lily dug up rocks outside. I'm glad she's feeling ambitious I guess. I hope she finishes what she started. I found 7 Monarch eggs. And we went up into the mountains at Lisa Falls and enjoyed the river.
So no ride this morning but we'll be fresh and ready to go tomorrow. Plus Corey and I had a good ride yesterday up at Snowbird. We took an hour and 20 min ride up Big Mountain, but it is not G2G yet cause of snow. (G2G = "Good to go" in biker speak) We made it to the top of MidGad though, so not bad. It's so fun coming down through the pine trees there, I really like it - it's long stretches back and forth across the mountain, really fun. There is some construction going on, so different trail entrances said they were closed but we cautiously went up anyway, I hope it's not like that all summer. We saw a moose from a safe distance.
