Last Day in the 60s

Corey and I went climbing this morning around 10:30, and when we got back, Abi had all the kids working in the yard. She's a great helper herself and equally great at getting the kids to help. Peter had fun working the leaf blower.

From the forecast for the next 10 days, it looks like today was the last day in the 60s for the season. Because of that, even though I took a ride yesterday, I went again today. I earned some more Strava "local legend" laurels, yesterday for quarry to the Berm turn and LCC Enduro descent. Woot, and then today I got the local legend for ALL ATHLETES (not just women!) with 13 efforts for the LCC Trail up and down with the cool loop on descent. Go me.

Katharine's friend Scarlet came over to play yesterday. She brought some cheetos to share. K liked that. They are a cute little pair.

They had fun playing. The two of them usually stick to toys, but I did find this mess a bit later. Katharine came up and had blue paint on her Elena dress, and told me Scarlet did it. Scarlet didn't have any paint on her, so I think K might have been fibbing. So they got paint on the carpet, yay.
This carpet already has a big blue stain from some blue glue that Wesley spilled on it in Sept 2018, so stains on basement carpet = no biggie. I think Daniel left these down after painting themselves for the BYU Utah game last month! I shall consider myself lucky that these were unguarded and down within toddler reach for that long and this was the only mess that was made.

And one final item of interest ~ on Thursday evening Corey and I went out to dinner with Mel and Christian at India House. They let us know that they are going to get married! They aren't announcing it yet, so maybe I'll write this up today but post it after they do announce. They are thinking January 10, which is less than 2 months.

This morning I was reading my journal from Jan and Feb 1999 to help get myself a list of the tasks ahead. I texted Mel:

"Ok, I just got out my journal from Jan & Feb 1999 and read a few pages where my mom and I were running wedding errands- So the bride might take care of:
