Love Those Eyebrows

Don't you just love how babies always look like they are in total amazement? They must feel like they are in over their heads with this whole mortal life thing... maybe feeling like they really weren't given the heads up as to what life would really be like.

Two Tired Campers

I took this picture of Abi asleep on Corey
cause her feet were just too cute to resist

Abigail's Baby Blessing

Abigail was given her name and
a blessing at church on September 3rd.
Here is a picture of her that I took at home.

"Look At All That Hair!"

That is the first comment made by everyone who sees our little lady.
Like everyone else, we're all in love with her.
Abigail is a beautiful baby!

Time for School!

Just thought I'd add some pictures - these were taken Aug 27th of Joe and Mel on the first day of school. (...and you can see half of Wesley on the right in his diaper. Luckily it wasn't too cold yet.)

Here are the kids catching the bus. The bus picks them up right across the street, so I can see it from the front room window which is very convenient. Also, notice the great view of the mountains that we have! I miss the trees of Virginia, but love the Utah mountains!

The Universe

I just finished reading a book that I picked up at church called "The Kolob Theorem" by Lynn M. Hilton. It was a quick read, but has caused me much to ponder. But the more I ponder, the more I know that I just can't comprehend it. The book is available online here: http://www.hiltonbooks.com/The_Kolob_Theorem.pdf

Corey in India - Week 3

Here is Corey's latest video - this one made me laugh. If any of you have had experiences in foreign tourist market places and have been attacked, you'll find this fun too.

First Annual Hibbert Halloween Party!

Grant has been the fatherly figure while Corey's been
gone in India. He was even nice enough to put on the
Darth Vader costume for the kids (it's quite the
process putting it on, plus the leather body suit
gets very very hot and sweaty). Thanks Grant!

P.S. Nice sneakers, Darth!

Joe as the Jedi Knight Obi Wan Kenobi

Melodie as Snow White

Ethan as the Karate Kid

Hyrum as a... Um, he's dressed as...
well, I guess he's a barefoot pajama-wearing
"Superman-Power Ranger" playing badminton?

Tiffanie as a BYU Cougar, Abigail as herself,
and Corey dressed as a cordless phone.

Yorktown, Virginia

Corey and the kids looking out to where the York River empties into the Chesapeake Bay.

Last week I finished reading Victory at Yorktown: The Campaign That Won The Revolution by Richard M. Ketchum. It was a very good read, a historical narrative that I recommend to any history enthusiast (...or aspiring history buff like myself). Last year on 21 October 2006, when we were living in Virginia, we were able to go to Yorktown on the 225th anniversary celebration of the siege where Cornwallis surrendered in October 1781. Here are some pictures of our visit there last year:

Ethan, Melodie, and Joseph posing with some of the
American Patriots who fought for the Glorious Cause.

Oh dear... Joseph seems to have some loyalist sympathies - He's with the Redcoats!
They all said "God Save the King" instead of "cheese" when I took the picture.

Wesley by the York River with the Godspeed ship behind him,
a replica of the boat that sailed into Jamestown in 1607.
