We had two caterpillars that I found all by myself - there is a ton of milkweed in the bushes west of the Sandy Library, and I found these two guys as eggs there. We watched them change first from egg to caterpillar ~
Then caterpillar to chrysalis - we saw both of them morph into their chrysalis -
First one (boys were a bit grossed out)...
Then the other (the lovely Melodie not squeamish at all...)
It really is so amazing.
