Tonight at dinner, the conversation wandered to talk of Abi's kindergarten crush, Parker. She's been hot in pursuit and has scared him off a little bit. Her brothers were advising her to back off. But she loves him and really wants to get married. Corey told her not to waste her time with Parker... he's already got a boy picked out for her. His name is Albert. She wanted to see a picture. So, he just happened to have a picture of "Albert" on his phone (via google images) which he showed her.
She wasn't impressed. "Oh, Albert isn't good enough for you, huh?" "Nope, I like brown hair." Corey: "But Albert, come on, isn't he cute? Come on Abi! Albert likes spaghetti! ...and long walks on the beach! He even writes poetry on the side, huh!? You can't get much better than that! Okay, fine. I have a back up to Albert, although I think Albert's gonna be pretty sad cause I already told him about you. But I got a back up, let me see where did I put that picture...
"Here, how about Frank?" (cue another google image)
This dialogue exchange went on for a good ten minutes, Corey saying another funny name, pulling up another funny picture, and making us all laugh. Abi was getting a little worried to have her father as her matchmaker... Here he is with a Justin Bieber wannabe, "Teddy"
Then there was "Mitch" "Marcos" and "Bruce" - nope, nope, nope. Too young (picture of an infant) - too feminine as Abi protested "That's a girl!" - and too old, as Corey showed a picture of a teenager.
Her brothers thought it was a really funny game.
As Corey'd show them a picture of some cute looking toddler and would try to woo Abi with tales of how rich that little baby was gonna be someday...
Abi finally played along and accepted one of her father's proposals... little Carl won her heart
And I was just loving it and amazed once again at how I have the best and funniest husband in the world, what a great dad for these kids. I hope little Carl will be the same for Abi!
So so funny.
