Yesterday morning, after a ride at 5:45am to the ruins (got all of Techy yay, Corey was on his way up when I was back on the road home) Corey and I went climbing at 10 with Lily, and my little brother Grant and his oldest kid Taden.
It was fun! I did three top rope - a new pink one that's still being graded, prob 5.11 something. I couldn't get it all, then a blue 5.10c, and the red 5.11b that I like with only one rest! Corey showing Grant the ropes ~
I belayed Taden once, then he went bouldering with Lily, and then we all joined in for somee bouldering. I did a Blue V3 on the light wall that I haven't gotten before, in this pic~
I also got a pink V3 in the cave for the first time today, it's been eluding me. If you keep climbing it higher it's a V4. I didn't get past the V3 end, but Corey did! Grant tried but his hands were spent. It's at quite the angle...
He texted me later "That was so fun Tiff. My hands hurt in places they've never hurt before like the fleshy outside edge of my thumb" haha! So that was the highlight of yesterday. Then later last night, Owen and Daniel's soccer teams had a joint party, cause they have the same coach. She has two boys that are Owen and Daniel's ages, and a boy that is Peter's age, and a girl that is Katharine's age! Scarlet and Katharine are little twinners and bffs.
The kids had popsicles and cookies and I enjoyed a soccer scrimmage for 90 minutes with O&D and kids from their teams, it was really fun.

So that was fun. Owen is a good little player and got crazy sweaty, looking like he just took a shower with how wet his hair was.
Abi dropped us off and then came back to pick us up. The girls like the coaches kids and are hoping to do some babysitting for their family. They love us too.One other note, this rotten banana at the top of the pantry.
That black thing was a banana. Part of it had started to turn into a dried black powdery thing and little fruit fly bugs were popping out of it, it was so nasty. We've had a major fruit fly problem here for a bit and have been killing them by the dozens, but there are still a ton and they don't go away. Today when I found that banana I learned the reason why our home had been infested. I was so grossed out and was saying "Gross gross gross gross!!" as I cleaned it up, ugh!! So so nasty. I made sure the kids all saw it and I told them once again "DO NOT EAT FOOD at the top of the pantry or anywhere outside the kitchen, PLEASE! Please eat at the counter or the table over a plate! Please! For the love of cleanliness and order, help us out, please!" They should obey that for about a week, until they forget. I'm glad I found it before we leave for a few days to Bear Lake tomorrow!
