K Dramas and K Pop

So, the girls are now into Korean Films. It started when Sophi saw a "thirst trap" on Instagram for a new movie called "K Pop Demon Hunters". It showed some "baddie" that looked mysterious and cute, but purple. A purple Ninjago demon guy. She thought it was an animated short film for Ninjago or something, but still, it captured her attention. She went in and showed it to Lily. "Lily! Watch this!" Lily was quickly on board for whatever this was. They found out the name of the film, K Pop Demon Hunters, and committed to watch it for Lily's birthday, but before Lily's birthday, cause they wanted to watch it on the day it came out. It was being released on Netflix on June 20th. That was a Friday, perfect. An ideal day to watch a silly movie with friends. They said that they honestly thought it was going to be like Barbie Life in the Dream House, where you watch it to make fun of it, but in this case, you also watch it cause the lead guy is attractive. They invited their friends to come join them for the party. So that was on June 20th.

When they watched it with their friends, and they all gasped when they saw that Rumi had patterns. And all of our girls cried at the end (Sophi started it, and Lily cried when she saw Sophi crying. Natalie and Daniel cried too, and all their friends laughed at them). So you'll have to watch KPop Demon Hunters to know what they liked about it and why they cried. I still need to watch it myself, but I've been hearing all about it. I'm not sure I get it, it sounds weird.

So the next day, Corey wanted to take the girls on a trip cause they were having a little sister quarrel about something stupid, so Corey wanted to take them for a trip so they could all bond, but Lily wouldn't go. So then Abi Sophi and Natalie just went.

That was a one night outing from June 21 - 22. While they were there for this spur of the moment trip, Corey thought he'd continue the Korean filmmaking stuff because it is random. They watched Business Proposal. They watched episode 1 together, then , then Corey went to bed, they said they'd go to bed, but then they stayed up watching the next 4 episodes until 2 am. So they are hooked, and they finished watching the Business Proposal series on Tuesday after we got back from camping. They were really excited when they learned that the main character guy in Business Proposal was the voice for Jinu. Abi didn't watch Demon Hunters with them for Lily's party, but they all watched it Tuesday after they finished Business Proposal (ASNODP watched it, but not L, she was working on AP World History.) The music is pretty good. I caught a little bit of it yesterday. I'll sit and watch it with them soon I'm sure. So today SN&I cleaned in the basement, paid dr bills from my miscarriage, Abi wanting to go to friends' house, she's been working on Spanish for hours and is almost finished with it, only has 3 more units, and she took an ACT test. She has not practiced, she does plan to audition for the school of music, has not started her BYU essays but has worked on the application. She plans to finish the Spanish class tomorrow, then she has another math class that she has started and that will be finished before the Hibbert reunion. Busy busy, trying to help this girl get ready to graduate and be on track before her Senior year. It's gonna be a busy summer: Hibbert reunion, then Park City, then FSY, and then school starts. She is taking the ACT in July 12th - is she ready? I guess we'll find out. Corey was thinking about having her go to a class for that. It's crunch time and Corey's worried about whether she's running fast enough to make it.

And last of all for today, around 4pm K pooped her underwear again. That makes it a #2 mess everyday for the past 16 days. She goes and sneaks off for some private time before she makes the mess. Thus, I’m on poop watch staring at 2 pm tomorrow, I need to catch her in the act. It was cute seeing her today after going to the bathroom - she was super frustrated cause her shorts weren't on right.

She had put both her feet through one of the legs, and it was too tight around her hips. Cute kid, I like helping kids fix their kid problems. I got you K, I know how to take care of this problem! My problems are elusive, but I can help with this.
We took the kids climbing.
Corey thinks that him belaying Peter is a bit how God is with us when we are just starting off on our mortal experiences and our faith journeys. He really helps us out a lot, like how Corey was practically pulling Peter up the wall, but Peter felt like he was doing it. Corey helped him out a ton.

Eventually God wants us to become a bit stronger and do more on our own, and he'll probably let us struggle a little more. I thought it was a good analogy.
