Six Flags Magic Mountain

We had a magical day at Six Flags today.

I drove there with Corey. Abi drove LSNODPK. We wanted her to follow us, but Abi went ahead of us out of the resort and then accidentally went left out of the resort gate, and thus she went down to the Pacific Coast Highway, so we were ahead of her, had to transfer $ for her to get gas, and we just checked in by phone now and then as we drove. Corey had a tour set up for Lily at Cal Arts, which she didn't want to go to, but Abi was driving so we had them come by there, and they dropped off Lily, and she reluctantly went with Corey and I jumped in the van. I promised Lily we would not have fun until she got there. One thing that was new this year - the parking lot was covered! Our cars were shaded!! It was great! They put solar panels over the parking lot! Brilliant. So I went in with ASNODPK to Six Flags. They were excited. Catching a shuttle to the park - Katharine's cute little smile.

That is why we do this. Katharine got excited when she saw the roller coasters. We went on the Merry Go Round while we waited to meet up with the Felix's.
I did a few laps on that with Peter and Katharine, and the older kids went to a coaster that was by it. I can't remember what it was called.
I was with little kids until Corey and Lily arrived.
Then Corey swapped me and took K. One of the saddest moments of the day was when they wouldn't allow Katharine on the tea cup ride, with it's cute purple gate and red hard handles...
Peter rode that by himself and it was so slow and stupid and I don't know why she was too little to be on this lame ride... (she was truly heartbroken)
But she was tall enough and they did allow her go on the Tasmanian Devil "Canon Blaster" roller coaster?!?!
(Which she loved by the way)...
Peter was scared of that one. He did one lap and was like "nope!" but Katharine rode it over and over again.
I didn't love it, it was a little jolty, so I was glad when Abi found me and took a few turns with her. There was no line, so she'd get off and get back in line and got to ride it over and over. K was glad to share this memory with her Abi! Giving her a big kiss!
Peter didn't mind that Katharine showed him up on being brave on roller coasters. He's his own kid, no need to compete. He felt tough by this bear.
After that I took Peter into the Loony Toon Lounge, and that was where Corey found and tagged me. He had taken Lily to find the older kids and went on a ride with them and after that he was great to not do any more fast rides, and I was totally ok to let him take Katharine and do my part keeping up with the kids. I found them in line for Wonder Woman. It had a long line so I was glad they were half way through. We did it and that one is so fun and fast. Then we went to Batman, which was ok. Daniel wanted to do it but was too short for that one. Then we went on Crazanity. I loved that one too. We did that over and over again, and on one go, our cute neighbor's lunch got the best of him... luckily it was at the end of the ride. If it had been during the ride, it prob would have sprayed all of us (and I was right next to him). He was a good sport about it, but we didn't know what he was going to do now in this condition...
I ran and got his parents. We all walked toward a bathroom, looking if there was a shop where you could buy shorts?? And then this nice guy, who saw our predicament, came running over and said he had a bag of clothes from something (off duty from the army?) and wanted to give his extra pair of shorts to Griff. This is the nice guy~
We're all ready to vouch for him on Judgement day - so nice. I felt like that is how we are supposed to live - to look around us, see who might need our love and help, and then do what we can to love, help, and serve. Do what we can do for the people around us. Hero. So after that, Crazanity was closed for cleaning, and Daniel wasn't able to go on that anyway, so he was sad from having to wait for us on two different rides, so I told him I'd go with him on whichever ride he wanted. He said Goliath. And so Daniel and I ran over there, and again, there was NO LINE, and so we literally rode that seven times together, straight. He had already ridden it twice with everyone else, so he was two rides ahead of me, but I did a decent job as an almost 49 year old. We walked all the way out and all the way back in twice, and then after that, since there was no one in line, we asked if we could go again, and they told us just to stand by the side while the few people in line did load up, then after they were done, we could choose a seat. So it was fun and I hope Daniel remembers it. I don't get sick of roller coasters, but I almost did get sick of this one. Actually there is one part on it where you spin down in a double circle and on that part, my eyes would black out - I don't know if it was from blood draining from my brain or my eyeballs, but that part got to be a bit much. I was just trying to keep oxygen coming to my brain. But it was fun. Daniel and I riding Golaith seven times straight. Then everyone else was done with whatever ride, and we walked out but they were coming in, so then we did it two more times with everyone again. That made 11 times for Daniel! 9 for me. Then Daniel was done, so I took him to Corey. He got there just in time to eat some of the dipping dots ice cream Corey got for P&K.
I went back to join the kids on other rides. I got a little lost trying to find where they were, then Abi found me and we hurried on Westcoast Racers before joining up with the group. We rode Tatsu, which I didn't love, just too weird being turned on your stomach. Then Brent let the kids learn about gambling by trying to win an ipad on a "Super Star" game, where you had to stop this star wand thing in just the right place to fit it through the star opening on the wheel. Each kid tried, and no one won the ipad, so sad.
Lily was the closest though. Owen and Oscar both got some cute red dragons. Then I went to go find Corey. Owen didn't go on hardly any rides, but he did want to show me one that he liked, the Road Runner Express. I went over there and we went on that like 5 or 10 times or something. Owen and Katharine both loved it.
Everyone else was headed to the cars. Corey was texting me. Ok, one more ride. We did the lame tweety's escape and then headed out.
I didn't get a pic of everyone this morning, cause Lily was not there, but now everyone left me, so I got a token photo with just Owen and Katharine. They had a good day at Six Flags!
Hey you two, SMILE!! They had fun, I promise. I'm glad I was able to go on a ride with Owen before we were done. He's a sensitive kid. I was grateful that our friend's son the same age as Owen was not a thrill seeker either, so they had a fun day together just being chill. Katharine literally fell asleep as soon as she got in her carseat!
Corey was waiting for us with the rest of the kids, so we could drive back together. We stopped by the In-N-Out by the I-5 and got ice cream, then headed home. Abi drove and I drove. She followed us this time and we didn't crash and die and have lived to see another day.
