School Pictures

The boys got back their preview of the school photos yesterday. Owen in 5th grade in Ms. Z's class. You're looking handsome Owen!

Daniel in 3rd in Ms Hekking's class - cute smile Daniel!
And Peter in Mrs Mohr's first grade class. Peter wearing a spiderman shirt and with slightly tussled hair is how he looks most days.
I never help my boys get dressed in the morning, and school picture day is no exception. I do not do their hair either unless it's really crazy and needs some help from some water and a brush.  I like them being captured in their natural state, and I think the pics this year capture that. I don't order individual photos, but I do get a class photo. Those should be here in another month or two after retake day (for any kids that were absent).

I went to the temple yesterday morning for 5am initiatories, then bouldering at the Sandy momentum. I feel weak and like I can't do anything. I can't do V3s anymore, sad. I did some stretching at 8pm and could tell I am sore from Monday's push ups.

Today I did took a nice and easy ride to ruins at 4:30 pm.
I did techy on the way back. I was feeling slow, and didn't mind just going slow and enjoying the fall colors.
1 hour 47 min, and just finished some stretching in the closet, 90-90s, back bend stretch, handstand, etc. On my ride and tonight I have been listening to the General Conference talks by President Oaks. President Nelson passed away this past Saturday, September 27 at 10pm. He was 101 years old! Here is a post on his passing by the church. And since President Oaks will be the new president of the church, I thought I'd try to listen to all of his General Conference talks before General Conference this weekend. There are 99 General Conference messages, the first one, in Oct 1971, was when he was the President of BYU. 2nd address was October 1984, when he was called to be an apostle. And then it was twice a year until October 1983, which how far I've gotten. Today I listened to April 1993 through October 1995, but he had two talks in April 1994, cause he spoke at the General Young Women meeting. Anyway, so far it's been really great to listen! He started so young with such a strong voice. I'm sure there will be a strong contrast when I listen to him this weekend, since he's now 93 years old. I'm about a 1/3 of the way through is talks, so I'll need to really listen a lot to finish before Saturday!

Natalie playing with K tonight. I always feel grateful when I see the older kids playing so nicely with their younger siblings.
