Hibbert Gathering

Some of the Texas Hibberts are in town, so this evening we got together at Antczak Park.

There was food, games, and visiting.
We had a potluck dinner. I brought sourdough bread with a parmesan spread and also some veggies.
Peter's cheeks a little rosy - it's another hot Utah day, over 100 again.
The guys fought through the heat and played Spikeball -
We also had a good game of Ultimate frisbee going on. Corey's knee was still tender, he said, from tweaking it last Monday (which is why he didn't go to Disneyland) but he seemed to play frisbee fine. (Was he just faking it to get out of Disney!?!?!) Corey had some epic throws to Edmund. There was also one throw where it was going going and Edmund was running for it, but Christian also took off from about half field to get to it first, he almost got it and it was nerve- racking to watch! I think if Edmund had seen Christian coming behind him he would have frozen in terror, but luckily he was focused on the frisbee. Christian would have had it if it had gone another yard further. It was a fun game. Saying bye to the Hibbert boys.
Other things from today - I had a few roses in bloom and I took time to smell them.
Katharine asked to paint my toes earlier.
She did such a good job!
She was very pleased with her skills, and I love her little face!
My toes were done, but Katharine wanted to do more. Abi came in and let Katharine do her.
She still wanted to do more! Her brothers were not gone playing with friends yet, so I told them to sit down and let K paint their toes. Owen was laughing and freaking out, but was obedient.
"This is so wrong!" he cried. No, this is what good brothers do for their little sisters. It is essential prep for being a father to girls.
Katharine didn't let them distract her from doing quality work.
Ok Daniel, your turn. He hid his face in shame.
Peter watching, then he took off running.
It was a hard no from him. All of the pedicures inspired Natalie and she wanted to give Katharine a spa day - she set up candles in our bathroom, made a face mask paste, did her nails and gave a massage too, the works.
My only condition was that she clean it up, which she mostly did, other than some wax drippings that I still see in the tub. So that was cute and we showed off our toe nails at the reunion tonight. Boys glad to be boys again at home - they took showers and showed me their pjs. Peter is Spider Man and Daniel is Plaid Boy.

Daniel helped him make his whole bed a spiderman bed.

We got the beds all fixed up and arranged yesterday since Edmund is not here anymore. Peter likes his bed.
