Kindergarten Open House

The kindergarten had a super cute open house yesterday, where our kindergarteners were able to come and show us all around their school. It was so cute. They did it in a little "Exlporers" theme, like from the movie UP, so it was like we were Mr. Fredrickson and our own little Russell's were teaching us all about the wilderness. Peter was excited to see me come into the room.

And then we went to different places in the school to get our "badges" for each area, like the bathroom, gym, cafeteria, and office (below).

Peter is so sweet. I love that little boy. Back at home today, Katharine is pleased with all the work that Mel and I did in the backyard yesteday.

It looks so clean and tidy!

Mel and I did that yesterday. It was a lot of hard work. Mel and Kafrin and I working on making the bike track in the back yard

We did a good job clearing out more pine needles and weeds.

We moved the "pirate ship" play thing over closer to the trees, which I thought was a cute spot for it.

Hyrum has been a very helpful and amazing enforcer of chores these past two days. Here he is keeping guard at the boys room so no one escapes until it's clean!

I'm so thankful for his help (thank you Hyrum!!!) I hope things don't completely fall apart when he goes back up to school!!

He's made the spreadsheet look AMAZING and all the numbers sync up and it's pretty good. The colors will change from red (bad) to yellow (ok) to green (good) to blue (excellent) as they complete more tasks. If EVEYRONE does ALL their chores it shows blue in the end column. Pretty fancy, Hyrum!

We got a package from Wesley yesterday! Thank you Elder Wride!

Peter opening the box! Can you tell he's excited?

Wes wrapped a special minifigure for him.

And something special for Owen and Daniel too. There was also a set for the three of them to share. Wesley had helped a member clean up their house and they said he could have these legos. There is also a lego train set of something that he asked us to put up away and keep it safe for him until he gets home in 16 months. Will do. He was going to write a letter to each kid, but decided that will take forever cause there are too many of us, ha, so he just wrote one. Feel free to read it if you can zoom in enough.
And Katharine has still been sleeping in different places every night. This morning I found her, as my first task of the morning, before going on a ride. Go find where is Kafrin. She was sleep on the floor in her room by her bed. Cutie.
And still sleeping away so cutely after I got back.
It was a good day.
