Smartie Pants

We got a good amount of snow today. It was snowing most of the morning but I still went climbing at 6 (well, 10 min late cause I had to shovel tire tracks for myself and Corey in the snow.) I didn't want him to drive on the snow, cause we have a cursed north facing driveway. He was planning on going to go to the temple, but he ended up not going cause of the snow, which could be slippery on the steep drive up to the Draper Temple. We aren't sure how Eliza's car handles winter. One might think that I could have taken Eliza's car climbing, so he could use the van, but I couldn't do that cause I needed it to take carpool at 7. We still don't have Corey's car from stupid Tanner's Transmission. Those stinkers have our 4 wheel drive. I made it out and back ok though, with climbing and carpool. Corey thought maybe he'd to to the temple at 11 am, but after it kept snowing the whole morning, we decided we could go for date night. He cleared off the driveway but just worked from home today. 

Other things from today besides climbing, carpool, and shoveling were: playing with Katharine (she made me smile as she colored today - I love love love how she holds her markers! She holds them correctly! yay, she's a budding artist.)

What a smartie pants. So I played with Princess Katharine, O&D activity days, Peter had a birthday party to go to for Evan, and Owen went to Oscar's bday party, Abi had a Lyceum concert in American Fork, Corey took Lily to Blue Note band, then he took her shopping cause he thinks she dresses too frumpy and she's hiding behind clothes. 

Here she is wearing Corey's clothes. He doesn't mind that she borrows them, but he doesn't think she should cause they don't fit her. While Corey was gone with Lily, I left Sophi and Natalie in charge and went on a 3pm ride on quarry trail. The fresh snow was slick, even with a few fat bikes having ridden on it. I went to Techy then back home. Had to HAB for quite a bit (hike a bike) of the trail cause of the loose snow. There had also been lots of hikers on it, so it was kinda bumpy, not smooth like two weeks ago. It was 39 degrees when I started, 35 when finished. 10.83 miles, 1 hour 55 min. Then the Jordan River temple for an endowment session for date night. One more week of school. I'm looking forward to the break, even though it will be busy and not much of a "rest" break. It will be good.
