Abi started working like two weeks ago. Pretty exciting. She got hired at Cowabunga Bay, but it wasn't going to start until the end of May and she wanted to start asap, so then when Big Blue called and she could start right away, she took that and then turned down cowabunga bay. So here she is, our employed adult.
She's even been biking to work! Sometimes I'll drop her off instead, like today I didn't mind driving her and then going to pick up Lily. Abi usually doesn't like to bike home (there's a little more uphill) so Corey will pick her up on his way home or Lily or I will go get her. Oh yeah, Lily has been driving as well. She has gotten her license just in time before Abi leaves. I timed the space between our kids really well. They're two years apart, so right when one kid leaves home, the other one will be driving. I think I'll have a driver helping me out for the rest of our lives! Sophi can get her permit this fall and should be driving before Lily graduates and leaves next year. So yeah, good job me on that. It's helpful. Of course the downside is that I have to share the car with them, but that's ok cause I'm a homebody anyway. Atleast this next year I will be cause I'll still have Katharine at home all day. Peter and Katharine are three years apart, so maybe when it's the two of them, Katharine might not be driving by the time Peter graduates, but Kat will be an only child at home then so that should work out ok.
I worked on my roses today, I spent time pulling out the grass from around my sad bush, and I touched it's roots and told it sorry and prayed for it. I hope it recovers. While I was working outside, I found this spray paint mess on the cement by the basement door...
For FHE we were going to plant flowers but it was too cold. Plus we haven't finished clearing out the weeds. So instead Corey brought some games from his dad's and donuts for FHE tonight. Score Four was a hit. We played a few rounds.
He also brought some other matching game that Katharine and Peter looked at (they're behind on the floor) but none of the rest of us were interested in that.
