We made it back safely from Green River. I love the Utah landscape. This place wasn't the most lush, but it's really mesmerizing in it's own way. I loved seeing the layers upon layers of low desert sands, hills, plateaus, and mountains going higher and higher.
There were no cars on the San Rafael Road, so I was able to take my eyes off the road a lot and look around. We met up with the Gygi's at Sherald's Frosty Freeze in Price for ice cream before we headed home. A tasty cold reward after surviving 3 nights in the Utah desert.
We drove home safely and got home around 3. Corey and I had Lily in our car so we could head straight home and we had Abi drive the kids and take Mel back home to Lehi. After we got home, we did a quick unload, quick shower, and then Corey and I went down to BYU. I was originally planning to take Owen to his trumpet lesson at 5 and then head to the Hibbert sisters retreat. Instead, Corey asked if I'd come with him down to BYU for the Capstone Celebration from 4:30 - 6 and then dinner afterwards in the Alumni building for Computer Science alumni and sponsors of the Capstone projects. So I had Abi take Owen to his lesson and I went down with Corey to that. Ethan and Corey were both Capstone sponsors, so they and a guest (Bella and me) got to go too. Corey visiting with people at the presentation.
They had refreshments at the BYU thing. And pizza afterwards. I shouldn't have taken a slice, but I did, and then we went to dinner. One of his teams -
See if you can read anything on their presentation board. I don't understand any of it. His other group (Corey had two teams) -
And Ethan had a team too!
Enjoying dinner at the Computer Science Alumni Legacy Night.
Good food. We brought home some leftovers for the kids. Instead of heading to the Sister retreat tonight, I'm going to go tomorrow morning cause I haven't packed for it yet and it's late and I'm exhausted. I'm aiming to be there around 9am tomorrow morning after I exercise.
