First Monarch

We figured out carpool today. I'm still not sure why we don't just have our kids go to the school assigned to our boundaries. Then they could take the bus. I am going to drive carpool three days, cause there are only 4 of us driving, and they each only have one kids in carpool and I have 2. So we're taking Mon Wed & Friday mornings. There are two other mom's in carpool that aren't able to drive, one cause her car isn't big enough, and the other cause she's picking up her other kids from their schools - she has kids in 3 schools. So, yeah. Abi takes Friday mornings, so that works out well, and hopefully Corey will be up and ready to start his day by 7 on Mondays and Wednesdays and can take them on his way to exercise or on his way to his dads to work.

I went on a 5 mile walk/hike/jog yesterday. I was up on the moraine when Corey went by on his bike. Kinda fun to see the world from up high.

My friend Terry has taken all the monarch eggs I have found this summer up until this week. She's been a wonderful Monarch mother. Of the eggs that she took, the first monarch emerged yesterday, a female.

A male emerged today. She has like 30 more in one stage or another. I've found a lot of eggs since we got back from Park City, and I gave around 15-20 babies and eggs to a friend yesterday, Becky, who lives in Nephi. Becky took milkweed seeds with her when she moved from here 10 or so years ago, and her milkweed is thriving but she has never found any eggs in her yard. She's hoping this will give her a start to them leaving from and then coming back to her garden.

Not much else to report. I went climbing this morning (bouldering). I returned books to library this afternoon, then went to Smiths and bought Chocolate cookie crumble ice cream, cause I didn't want to make food for the kids. NOT that ice cream is food. I recognize that this is not good parenting. I went to the temple for initiatories at 5pm.
