My kids are overdue for their eye exams, not to mention that their glasses are barely hanging on to life. Except Melodie, she still has 8 perfectly preserved back up pairs if she needs them. The boys and Abi however... their super glued glasses with broken hinges, nose pads, bent temples and rims... their glasses are wishing we had done this a few months ago and then had properly laid them to rest in peace. Well, it's time, hopefully the glasses can endure for one more week of life while the glasses are made. Since things are particularly busy and crazy, we split it into two trips. I did the girls yesterday. I have loved America's Best the past 3 years, cause with all the kids in glasses that we have, it's a killer deal - two pairs of glasses with a free eye exam, that works pretty good for us. The eye exam went fine, their prescriptions didn't change too much. Of course they were most excited about trying on new frames. We did Natalie first!
Natalie! You look so cute!Do you like wearing glasses? Do you want glasses?
I think she likes them! We were laughing so hard, she's just adorable.
Abi opted for some frames like Melodie has. She did last year too but never liked them or wore them, so I tried to discourage it, but she wanted them. Ok. She also got a pair like the pair she already has, which appropriately are a brand named "Wild Child".
You're a good looking wild child Abi.
Melodie struggled seeing what she looked like in the frames, cause she couldn't see without her prescription lenses. She held up her classes on the outside of the frames she was trying on and got a pretty good bug eye effect...
That didn't help too much, right? so I took pictures of her with the frames on and then she looked through the pictures. She didn't go with these frames but I thought they were cute.
Boys get their turn today, they're excited!
