Telestrations & Stoker Gathering

For FHE tonight, we just played a game of Telestrations. It is a fun game. We just did one round. 

So just a simple FHE tonight. Lily also got asked to the Winter's Dance. It was a big ornament full of glitter, confetti, and small pieces of paper with the letters in his name. Lily poured the contents all our on a cookie sheet and her siblings helped her look through and find all the letters. 

I took a bike ride to the ruins today after the kids got home from school. It's nice riding in the snow. It's quiet and contemplative.

Wesley called for his p-day. It's fun to talk with him. 

Melodie has decided on a venue for her reception. She put money down for a deposit on the Activity Barn at Wheeler Farm. Good job, one decision made and finalized. This will be good. 

Yesterday we had the gathering with Stoker Family. Previous years - 2022, 2023, 2024. We had a nice meal. I brought my same dish that I made for Christiams - sweet potatoes with kimchi and Chipotle sauce. 

There were lots of desserts. Then for games, there was some personalized Christmas Trivia on whoever was lucky enough to be called to the hot seat. They also had the saran wrap ball game thing.

Karalee does a good job making this happen. Karalee's mom was Sharon, and she was JeNeal's only sister. They are both gone, so Karalee and Nancy are determined to keep the family together and meeting once a year. I should try to get their names down and learn more about them. I've been thinking for a while of doing a family History matching game, with photos of ancestors and you match them with their name, birth or death dates and birth places. A little project I'll try to work on more this year and see if I can finish it before next year's gathering.
