Easter Sunday

Happy Easter! We had a lovely service at church and a nice gathering with family tonight. At church, Corey and Daniel joined the ward choir. I was impressed with all the work they put into it. They did a whole Cantata called "He is Risen" by Jackman Music
I might be a bit biased, but I think Daniel stole the show. He didn't have a solo, and you couldn't necessarily hear him over others, but you could see in his little face that he was singing with passion.
Corey joined the choir to support Daniel. Then we got ready for family to come over for dinner. My veggie tray turned out amazing! I made a few adjustments, but still nailed it!
Family came at 4:15 and received their instructions for the Easter egg hunt.
They listened intently after learning that some money was involved! Also, there were several eggs with numbers, and at the end we'd draw the number to see who won the big bucks. So Wayne had contributed $90 in coins, and Mark pitched in $50, we got all the eggs and candy, so that was our contribution.
One little video of the egg hunt here that I took of Katharine gathering eggs.
(...and yes, that video was uploaded in Nov 2025, cause that was when I was finally finishing blogging April! This is the last post that I need to do, yay) and then they were back inside to count up their loot.
They each had their number, we drew then numbers, and Isaac won $5 bucks, Rhyan won $10, and Sophi won the major prize of $50 bucks! Then it was 5:00 and time for dinner. The college kids came and joined us.
I made a lamb roast and lamb chops in honor of Passover. My Seder plate was on display as well and people were welcome to try some of that food too.
The rest of the evening was spent in the smallest room of the house, haha, cause that's where Katharine led Christian and Mel to play with her, then we all went in there so we could visit with them.
Good to have family here and remember how Jehovah delivered his people from Egypt
That same great God Jehovah, who is Jesus Christ, sacrificed his life to save us all of us from death and hell. I really enjoyed watching the Chosen in preparation for Easter, and I'm excited to have that be part of our tradition each Easter. I also still want to get some of the stuff that Grant has that he showed us least year (a cloth the same size as the Shroud of Turin, nail, whip, thorn of crowns, etc). Oh, and a few things from yesterday - here's a pic of Daniel at his soccer game.
Abi went to prom with friends (wasn't asked, but she and her friends all went together) I'll try to get a pic of that later.
