We've made it to Las Vegas. We're spending the night in the Marriott's "Grand Chateau" - to be said with a fancy trying to be French accent. We got here around 4:30 pm. I enjoyed the daytime drive. Abi drove the kids, they were all good troopers.
I'd like to go visit all the places we drove past today. The San Gabriel Mountains National Monument is the first place on the list. That was the highest peak I noticed on our drive up out of the San Bernadino valley. It was pretty. So it's a Friday night, but we didn't go out, cause I had some beets, Saurkraut, and avocado left over from our food in California, so Corey and I ate that and I gave the kids pizza. I presented it pretty for us, with ice water. The kids don't care to go swimming. We're just chilling. I enjoyed my last morning walk to the beach this morning. I checked on the kids at 6 am - all still asleep.Back at the room - kids are awake but not doing anything helpful. But with the tv on they were not making bigger messes, so I guess that's a plus?
That pic above is probably what they'd do for a whole vacation if we didn't intervene. We packed up, loaded up and headed out at 11. It will be good to be back home tomorrow. There's a full moon tomorrow, and so it is an almost full moon tonight. I've been up on the roof pool area trying to find where it will rise is at so I can watch it over the desert. We don't have a clear view of all of the skyline from here, it might be behind a building I fear. I've been trying to use the StarTracker app to find it. I think we'll go to bed soon.
