Here is my report for the last 3 days. Katharine has been working on her cup stacking skills. Daniel taught them all about cup stacking last Saturday, and the drinking cups have not been in the cupboard since. Katharine has moved her stacking studies on to include plate stacking and bowl stacking. So I guess now we'll call it "dish stacking" haha.
She's been working hard. You are so smart Katharine! We're still working on potty training, but only first thing in the morning. If we get that first one, we're pretty happy. Tuesday Wednesday and this morning she's been sitting for an hour. No luck on Tues, Wed we got a tablespoon, and today she did a decent amount. I think I need to get more fluids in her so that we have more to work with. Corey wants her trained, but I don't think I can push it hard right now. I'll try in the mornings, but I think she'll figure it out when she's ready.Yesterday I did give her a bowl of ice cream as she sat, before she did anything to earn it. I gave a bowl to each of the boys too, cause I had almost a half gallon left over from Monday night FHE and I didn't want to eat it all myself, which I was running the risk of.
Tuesday I had a really productive day. I called a few people on the phone for body - doubling (Mom, Mel, Patrice and Steph) and I worked hard. It was the most productive day I've had in a few weeks, possibly since last month, and the house looks better already. When I was talking to Patrice, I was tackling a pile of loner socks, trying to find matches!
I kinda want to just toss them all, but I know as I clean up the house I will find more socks, so I tell myself I have to wait until the house is completely clean and I find all the strays. And the house might not be completely clean for 3 years (until after K starts kindergarten). Hmm, well maybe I'll toss some of them now. Might be better to just set aside $30 bucks for new socks instead of holding on to these and letting them sap my energy. Wednesday I worked on washing towels and sheets.
I finished a book Wed morning! Amazing Heavenly Answers by Dr. Joyce Hunt Brown. Wayne gave it to me for my birthday last year. I have so many books that are on my desk that I have started but haven't finished, and I want to start knocking them off so I can put them back on the shelf. This was the first one I finished today. I gotta work on Simple Abundance. I'm still back in March. I also borrowed a lot of Shackleton books from a neighbor, Bro Smart, so I have a lot to work through. And I bought three books for myself for my b-day/mother's day, that just arrived: Fast like a Girl, The Pursuit of Happiness, and After. I went to a crochet lesson thing with ladies in our neighborhood/ward on Tues night. I don't have the desire to crochet right now, but I might some day. Right now though I just want to read, ride bikes and be with our kids and record about this busy season of our life, before I blink again and it's all over!
