New Bop Band

So, Joseph and Ethan both made the bands they auditioned for at the end of August - bands led by Caleb Chapman in his music school. Ethan's band is for 5th-9th graders, Joseph's band is for 7th-9th grades. And (this made Corey so happy) they both made lead alto in their bands. They both have their bands just once a week, Ethan on Monday, Joseph on Wednesday. Corey took this picture of Ethan on his first day at practice. When he showed it to me he started to sing "Which one of these things is not like the others, which one of these things just isn't the same..."

Ethan is the short one right in the middle there, a little 6th grade kid surrounded by 9th graders. Can you tell that they are each about two feet taller than him? Ethan's such a cute kid though. They asked some "get to know you questions" and one of them was "Who is your favorite superhero?" Ethan's answer: Captain Literally. Isn't he just so clever? The associate director got a good laugh out of that and answered by saying "Balance Restored!" :)

Speaking of Captain Literally, there are 4 short episodes there for you to watch. We all just love Studio C and are excited for the next season to start next Monday October 7th! Yippie!
