Balance Restored!

My bedroom is CLEAN!

I've been working on it a little bit at a time all week, and today it is finished. Before photo is below from two weeks ago, when we had a bit of missionary homecoming and college kids family in town and wedding creation chaos that was going on.

I felt like Captain Literally and I have been proudly saying "Balance Restored!" to myself each time I walk in here.

Ahhh, it feels good.

I also continued cleaning in the basement and am making slow but sure progress there. I've been listening to YouTube clips of Nate Bargateze "Your Friend Nate Bargatze" while I cleaned and was laughing and smiling the whole time. We gotta watch the whole thing, so I looked up where it's at and I'm planning for us to watch his Netflix Speical for FHE. So funny.

For date night yesterday, we took a gamble and drove our to the airport to eat at the only Blue Lemon left in the valley. Sadly, it was not the same.
There were no sweet potato fries on the menu, and we said we were dining in, but were served in take out. Corey saw 3 street tacos in the photo of his entree, but was only given 2. So sad. But, we tried. It was one of my favorite restaurants. We'll let it go and have let it be a pleasant memory from here on out.

Corey and I went climbing this morning at 10 and we did 10 climbs. Corey didn't do the same climb as me each time, he was did like three 5.11c's!! He has a friend Jeff that climbs there and we ran into him today. He said he'd teach us how to do lead climb. Could be fun. Corey asked him what he climbs, and he said he can do 5.11s pretty comfortably, so maybe that's what made Corey do it, but I was impressed. I'm not jealous, cause most 11s just seem impossible to me, and I get frustrated if I can't reach the holds, but more power to you Corey for doing 11s! If I can do a 10d without a rest I feel good. I can kinda do 11a's and b's, and after a year climbing that's still where I'm at, so I think that's my peak.

The little kids went to play at a neighbor's house this afternoon, and K slipped on ice when they were walking back home and scratched her knee a little bit. She was weeping and wailing for an hour.
There are hard trials during this mortal life. Restaurant chains disappear, climbing holds might be crimps, and knees get scratched.

Corey did a Costco run today while I blogged and cleaned. We have Junior and his parents coming over for dinner tomorrow, so Corey and the girls will be taking care of that. Corey got ribs, ceasar salad and grapes for the main part of the meal, Abi is making mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables, Lily is making sourdough and homemade jelly, and then tapioca for dessert. And since they are cooking it all tomorrow, I'm going to keep blogging and try to catch up more on things here.
